Charity Golf Day! Oxford Property Consulting hit the fairway for MND Association
Oxford Property Consulting will swap houses for fairways for one day only this month when proudly hosting its first charity golf day in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Held at the historic Oxford Golf Club in Cowley on Monday, September 25, the team will put their driving and putting skills to the test and support MND Association’s’ work to improve access to care, research and campaigning for those affected by the disease.
Teams are invited to arrive from 8am where they will be served with a bacon roll and coffee on arrival. An 18-hole Texas Scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 9am. There will be prizes for the longest drive and nearest to the pin with lunch and a charity raffle rounding off the day.
Founded in 1979, the MND Association aspires to create a world free of MND. There is currently no cure and every day an average of six people in the UK will be diagnosed with the disease with the risk of someone developing MND approximately one in 300.
Ben Procter, Managing Director of Oxford Property Consulting, said the charity holds a close personal connection and hopes to raise as much money as possible for a worthwhile cause.
“We’re really pleased to launch our first charity golf day, especially as all proceeds on the day will directly support the outstanding work of the MND Association and its team,” said Ben.
“Their commitment and research are critical if we are to get any closer to finding a cure and we hope with the support of our friends in the Oxfordshire business community we can do our bit to help them.
“Many of you will be aware of the late, great, Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow whose fights against MND have been inspirational. Both cases have raised important awareness of this terrible disease, but there is still so much more to do.
