We oversaw major refurbishments to the property including a lower ground floor and ground floor glass extension, and a beautifully designed loft conversion looking out over the ‘dreaming spires’ of Oxford. 

 we were able to add a full height side extension to house bathroom suites. This added extra space to the already well proportioned rooms within the house and created the number of bathrooms expected for modern living. 

We were asked to provide both colour and finishes schemes and sourced all of the interior items. The property was designed to be chic, timeless and elegant. It also has all the modern technology you would expect to find and has been rented out to families who have loved calling it their home.

This stunning Edwardian House in North Oxford, was purchased for us to develop by an overseas investor, and in just 5 months we transformed these two bedsits in North Oxford, into a wonderful, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, double reception and huge kitchen extension, family home. We used nearly all local suppliers to develop and sell this wonderful house, including 

. We extended the property both on the ground floor as well as going into the loft, gaining an additional 582 square foot.

Although this property is situated on the north side of the road, by designing the ground floor in such a way that both the double reception room and the large kitchen, dining extension were double aspect rooms, the light simply flows through and makes each space feel bigger and more airy. We always pay special attention to the ergonomics of space, and the kitchen is designed for all the cooking and food preparation to be done within the twin islands and the full height units, while all the laundry and most of the storage is allocated to the upper and lower unit run. We feel it is really important to envisage living in a space, so each detail has been considered, down to ensuring plug sockets are available where they will be needed, to creating a lighting plan where the new resident will be able to enjoy different settings according to their mood.

Summertown

It is unusual to find a beautiful white stucco Kensington houses divided into only two flats. It is far more common to find them as a house or divided into four flats. Having the great width and 2 whole flours to play with we were really able to get creative. 

We changed things around to give the reception room a dual aspect by moving the kitchen opening and installing glazed, sliding doors that separate one from the other. There was no need to change the Master bedroom and second bedroom structurally, but we gave them a major cosmetic overhaul with new flooring, light fittings, window dressings and decoration.

By stealing some space from the large, principal en suite bathroom we created an en suite shower in the second bedroom which looks like a cupboard. This liberated space for a small study and access to the roof terrace without having to walk through a shower room (as was previously the case).

From the roof terrace you could enjoy spectacular views of Kensington Palace.

We designed the tasting room, the bar, a wine wall, the catering kitchen, three luxurious WC's, a staff shower room and the lighting scheme. 

Furniture, fittings and equipment were sourced from across the globe with suppliers including 

, Villaverde and Ceccotti. Suppliers of the sanware items and bathroom wall finishes were CP Hart, West One Bathrooms, Samuel Heath, Balineum, Fired Earth and Powells. 

Minoli were the suppliers of the floor tiles throughout while the specialist catering kitchen was supplied by an amazing supplier we have used multiple times, Schwartz Kitchen.

This really was a once in a lifetime design role and we feel so honoured to have been part of it.
